About Me
I’m a leadership coach, facilitator, consultant, author and speaker, and for more than 20 years I’ve worked with people at many different stages of their leadership journeys.
I’m interested not only in what people do when they lead, but in who they are becoming through the experience of leading. My work invites greater awareness of what matters, what we bring to our leadership, the impact we have on others, and how we respond when things become difficult.
I’m particularly interested in how we steward what matters, and how we create the conditions in which others can contribute, grow and flourish.
My work
Over the course of my career, I’ve worked with leaders, teams and organisations across Australia and internationally, designing and facilitating leadership development, coaching individuals, and partnering with organisations as they navigate change, complexity and questions that matter.
My work spans education, organisational leadership and professional learning, and includes keynote presentations, workshops and conference presentations in Australia and overseas.
I am an ICF-credentialled coach (ACC) and a Fellow of the Australian Council for Educational Leaders (FACEL). I am also the co-author of Five Ways of Being and Mastering Meetings That Matter, and a contributing author to Assessment for Teaching.
Alongside my consulting, coaching and facilitation work, I serve part-time as Director of Leadership and Human Potential at Wilderness School in Adelaide, South Australia.
What Matters to Me
I have always been fascinated by our capacity to grow.
Not simply to become more skilled or accomplished, but to understand ourselves more deeply, make conscious choices about how we want to live and lead, and become increasingly able to contribute something worthwhile to the lives of others.
I have spent much of my life refusing to put limits around what people might become or achieve, and creating the conditions in which they can stretch, discover more of themselves and see possibilities they may not yet see for themselves.
My role is not to provide all the answers. It is to create the conditions in which people can notice more, think more deeply, make meaning from their experience and choose how they want to move forward.
Ultimately, I care about leadership because I care about people.
And I remain deeply interested in what becomes possible when we bring more of our humanity to the way we lead.
