I am committed to enabling and empowering leaders at all levels of their leadership journey to prioritise growth of self and others in the ongoing pursuit of human fulfilment.
I'm an author, a speaker, facilitator, mentor and coach with over 20 years of leadership experience at different levels and settings. I've spent a lifetime committed to growing others and refusing to put limits on what they might achieve.
An engaging speaker, I've delivered key-note presentations and workshops about leadership, team development and assessment at state, national and international conferences, including the Australian Council of Educational Leadership, Australian College of Educators, International Congress of School Effectiveness and Improvement, uLead and the International Conference on Thinking.
I am the co-author of the bestselling book, Five Ways of Being (Danvers, De Blasio & Grift, 2020), Mastering Meetings That Matter (Grift, Sloper, De Blasio, in print) and a contributing author to the second edition of Assessment for Teaching (Griffin ed., 2017).
A highly sought-after professional learning leader, I am renowned for my unique ability to authentically develop the leadership capacity of others. I work with leaders, directors and leadership teams both in Australia and internationally. In addition to my executive leadership work, I deliver selected programs with Grift Education, and currently serve in a part-time capacity as the Director of Leadership and Human Potential at Wilderness School in Adelaide, South Australia.
I work closely with leaders and teams to amplify their impact as leaders who bring their people with them as they pursue their organisational mission and strategic initiatives.
In my engaging and thought-provoking keynote presentations, masterclasses, workshops and coaching I create a climate of high challenge and high support. I inspire leaders at all levels and stages of their leadership journeys to commit to being and becoming leaders who prioritise the growth of self and others in the ongoing pursuit of human fulfilment and excellence in all their endeavours.
Like rocks in the ocean which begin as jagged and rough, yet over time morph and smoothen as they rub against one another or are buffeted by wind or water, as human beings, we are in a constant state of evolving.
I have always believed in our capacity to grow and flourish and to find meaning in our lives. I have devoted my life to enacting that mission and assisting others to believe in themselves, stretch themselves, pick themselves up when they stumble and laugh and celebrate with them when they are joyous and succeed. And I have been unrelenting in my search to create the right conditions, environment or prompts to ignite that growth, whether it occurs inch-by-inch, step-by-step or in quantum leaps.
Only through challenging ourselves with the hard work on self, can we know ourselves and grow.
Only through an unremitting commitment to being a better human being can we enable others to flourish and to find meaning.
And only through being open to the buffeting currents and breezes that blow us on our life paths can we become more human and bring more of ourselves into the world.
Ultimately, I am committed to the growth and flourishing of humanity and I am as committed to the individual as I am to the whole.
“We are most ourselves, the most human, when we unabashedly immerse ourselves in the world with love and hope, gratitude and kindness.”
